Questions about the speed test
What does this speed test measure?
Ping is how long a small request takes to reach our server and come back. Jitter is how much that time varies. Download and upload are how much data your connection moves per second, in megabits.
Why is my speed lower with a VPN?
Your traffic takes a longer path, through the VPN server, and is encrypted on the way. A nearby VPN server with spare capacity keeps the difference small.
Where is the test server?
In Germany. Results are best for connections in Europe; the further away you are, the higher your ping will be.
